First fase of expansion terminated

To continue guaranteeing high-quality service in response to the ever-increasing demand, Sud-Fresh has initiated the expansion of its cross-dock in Rhisnes. The goal of this expansion? Increasing capacity to accommodate an additional 600 pallets every night, allowing us to meet the ever-growing logistical needs.

At Sud-Fresh, We Never Stand Still

Our mission is clear: to provide our customers with the best service and quality, no matter the circumstances. At the end of 2024, during the peak period in December, we noticed that we were reaching our limits. Demand was high, and while our team gave their all, we realized that additional space was necessary to keep up with the growing demand.

That’s why we decided to expand our existing cross-dock capacity immediately. We created space for 600 extra pallets per night, bringing our total groupage capacity to 3,600 pallets per 24 hours. This represents an increase of approximately 25% compared to our previous capacity—a crucial step to continue ensuring the quality of our services.

Immediate Action, Future-Oriented Vision

"We don’t want to wait until our new building is ready in 2026 to better serve our customers. Sud-Fresh stands for progress, and we are already translating that mindset into action," says CEO Vincent Gaillard.

This expansion allows us to work even more flexibly and respond better to seasonal peaks, such as the busy Easter and end-of-year periods. By handling more pallets in our cross-dock, we optimize the logistical flow and strengthen our position as a reliable logistics partner for our customers.

But we are thinking even further ahead. In mid-2025, we will begin constructing a brand-new logistics complex, which will not only further increase our capacity but also provide the opportunity to optimize the existing cross-dock even more and add extra loading and unloading docks to ensure an even more efficient operation. This new facility, set to be operational in 2026, will play a fundamental role in the continued growth of Sud-Fresh and its customers.
